Splitting up data in multiple columns
I'm having trouble splitting up some data in Excel and hope someone can
help out.
I have three columns with company data and would like to split it up.
Column one depicts the company ID. Column 2 depicts the quarter of which
the data is obtained and column three depicts the revenue. For example
with 3 firms and 4 quarters: A1:A12 have the company ID in them (first 4
rows with firm 1, next firm 2 and so on). B1:B12 says which quarter we are
in and C1:C12 contains the revenue.
I'm having a hard time figuring it out, since it is not just one single
column that I have to split up, but instead 3 interconnected columns. Not
sure whether I'm explaining clearly what I want, but basically this it
what I want to do:
A1:C4 should be unchanged, then A5:C8 should be moved up next to it (into
D1:F4) and finally A9:C12 should come after that (into G1:I4).
Would appreciate any help.
